Public Perception and Position

Sudha Murthy addressed the issue with an enlightening perspective. She said, “In the case of Akshata and Rishi, the choice of their positions subjects them to public conversations. If they are sincere in their roles, servings their countries, and executing their responsibilities, discussions are bound to happen. People will never cease to talk. That’s the nature of their occupation – to pass comments. Therefore, my recommendation to them would be to disregard the noise.”

Sudha continued her advice: “The key is to uphold your work’s ethicality and legality. In this scenario, you need no one else but divine grace as your witness. Let them pass their comments as you continue your focus on your work. Although it may initially abrade you, learning to ignore and maintaining focus on your work should be your long-term goal.”

The Rise of Rishi Sunak as a Global Leader

When posed with a query about the meteoric rise of his son-in-law, Rishi Sunak, to the UK Prime Minister’s office, Narayana Murthy adopted a diplomatic approach. Honoring the status of foreign residents, he abstained from giving any statements on the affair.

He clarified, “As overseas residents, we revere the custom of not airing views on another nation’s affairs. As such, we refrain from passing any comments. Even though we share close, harmonious, and affectionate personal bonds, we respect the boundary.”
