Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Trying to Disrupt His Government
Loss of political decorum? Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, alleges that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to overthrow his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. He claims that the BJP offered Rs 25 crore each to seven AAP Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in a political power play.
Bargain or Threat: Uncovering BJP’s Supposed Strategy
According to Kejriwal, the BJP schemed manipulative conversations with AAP MLAs. Not just that, they even allegedly threatened Kejriwal’s arrest relating to the Delhi liquor policy case. This supposed plan is part of a larger plot to destabilize the AAP’s control in Delhi.
Kejriwal’s Revelations
Kejriwal took to social media to expose the BJP’s actions. His post, in essence, suggested that the BJP contacted seven AAP’s Delhi MLAs. In alleged talks, they talked about arresting Kejriwal soon, breaking the MLAs, and eventually toppling the AAP government.
Kejriwal quoted they said: “In a few days, we will arrest Kejriwal. Then, we will move on to break the MLAs. We spoke with 21 MLAs and are in talks with others. Then, we will overthrow the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. You can come as well. We’ll give you Rs 25 crore and you can then contest the elections on the BJP’s ticket.”
Allegedly Approached MLAs Remain Steadfast
Even though the BJP reportedly made contact with 21 MLAs, Kejriwal firmly maintains that only seven were approached based on AAP’s intelligence. All of these seven, he stated, refused the BJP’s lucrative offer. This points to the unity and integrity within AAP, with members choosing loyalty over monetary gains.
A Larger Conspiracy Against His Government?
Kejriwal insists that his arrest is an excuse, and the larger motive is sabotaging the AAP government in Delhi. “In the past nine years, there have been multiple conspiracies to dismantle our government, none of which succeeded. The support of the people and divine providence has always been with us. Our MLAs are united, and this time too, their ill intentions will fail,” Kejriwal expressed.
People’s Love for AAP: A Thorn in BJP’s Side
Kejriwal believes the AAP’s commendable work in Delhi drives the attempts to destabilize his government. Despite the various hurdles created by opposition parties, the Delhi public holds immense affection for AAP. This purportedly makes it challenging for the BJP to defeat AAP in elections.
