Bridget McGovern: A Life Well-lived

Mrs. Bridget McGovern, from Altachullion, Corlough, Co. Cavan, breathed her last on the serene afternoon of Friday, 2nd February 2024 at the age of 96. Our sources report that she passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. She was not alone, for the thought of her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren surely offered her companionship. Though she was predeceased by her considerate husband Michael and adored daughters Bridget Anne and Mary, she continues to live in the memories of those she left behind.

She is fondly remembered by her son John and daughters Margaret, Martina, Rose, and Anne, who now gather strength from the 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren she thoughtfully nurtured. Her brother Brendan and sister Mary, as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends, will continue to relish the happy moments shared with her.

Funeral Arrangements for Bridget McGovern

Final respects can be paid to Bridget at Smiths Funeral Home in Ballinamore, County Leitrim. The funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Corlough, wherein the adjoining cemetery will serve as her final resting place. For those who wish to honour Bridget’s memory through a donation, a contribution to The Irish Heart Foundation in lieu of flowers would be much appreciated. Lynda (Martha) Curr: A Life Celebrated

Similarly, we were informed of the passing of Lynda (Martha) Curr from Drumshanbo, County Leitrim. Previously hailing from Woking, Surrey, England, Lynda was a beloved member of the large Bystram family. Her bereaved husband Robert, children Stephen and Hannah, and seven grandchildren are left to treasure the warmth of her love.

Lynda’s farewell ceremony will include a Resomation service at Pure Reflections Resomarium, Navan, County Meath. Her remains will be moved from her home to the ceremonial location. May her soul rest in peace.
