Saumya Tandon Reminisces About Working with Bollywood Icon Shah Rukh Khan

Actress Saumya Tandon, known for her performance in the acclaimed TV series ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’, recently shared her experiences co-hosting the reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout’ with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan. Despite labeling the show as the most significant setback of her career, Tandon appreciates the chance she had to work with Khan, fondly referred to as King Khan. She vocalized her gratitude for the valuable experience that came with working with ‘Dunki’ protagonist and dubbed Khan as the “most romantic person” she knows of.

Memories of Working with Shah Rukh Khan

In an engaging discussion with Digital Commentary, the television actress reminisced her collaborative journey with Khan and expressed that she felt like she had “attained a significant milestone in her career”. Reminiscing her days from the ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout’ hosting stint, Saumya said, “It didn’t materialize as anticipated. It ended up being the most tremendous failure of my career. Nonetheless, I immensely enjoyed the opportunity to interact and work with Shah Rukh. He possesses extreme wit and intelligence. Although I initially wasn’t an ardent fan of SRK, my perspective took a complete turn after our encounter.”

An Encounter That Left An Imprint

In addition to complimenting SRK’s professionalism and modesty, Saumya Tandon narrated a memorable incident during the show’s inaugural event. She said, “Shah Rukh stood up to greet me when I arrived, despite being a colossal star. CEOs and other dignitaries were lined up to meet him, but he declared, ‘This is my time with her’. Everyone remained standing until he concluded his rehearsal with me. Throughout the rehearsal, he completely engaged with me, making me feel valued and respected. He didn’t make me feel like an outsider. He even asked if I wanted to rehearse more,”. She adds that she received “unadulterated attention” from Khan, which makes him the “most romantic person.”

It’s pertinent to note that this isn’t the first instance of an actor lauding Khan for his humble demeanor and courteousness. Multiple co-stars have on numerous occasions relayed their enjoyable experiences while working with the superstar.
