Teenager Arrested on Child Rape and Indecent Exposure Charges in Tenino
A teenager, aged 17, was recently taken into custody in the city of Tenino, accused of both first-degree rape of an underage victim and indecent exposure. The arrest occurred last week, sending ripples through social media that later required law enforcement to issue clarification.
Addressing Misinformation
Statements forwarded by our sources indicate that the Tenino Police Department had to intervene to set the record straight against incorrect information flooding social media platforms. The erroneous rumors suggested that the alleged sexual assault had occurred on the property of the Tenino School District. The police department confirmed that this was not the case, with the alleged incident occurring within Tenino city limits and not on any school premises.
Violent Behavior During Detention
Upon detainment, the adolescent male allegedly displayed violent behaviors, including a series of destructive actions within the police vehicle. He displayed physical violence, kicking the doors, and caused damage to the vehicle’s interior. Among his actions, he was reported chewing on protective foam, destroying electrical wiring, and even removing a car-mounted camera using his teeth.
His aggressive behavior resulted in the law enforcement employing special restraints referred to as a WRAP. This decision was followed by his booking into Thurston County Juvenile Detention, under a bail set at a hefty $25,000.
An Investigation Underway
The Tenino Police Department has made it clear that some elements of the ongoing investigation remain undisclosed at the present moment. The law enforcement’s primary aim is to maintain the integrity of the investigation whilst also safeguarding the wellbeing of all parties involved. They assured the public that they are diligently working on this case.
