The contraband was being smuggled from Puducherry and intercepted at Vikravandi near Villupuram.

Additionally, a 27-year-old male, R. Surya, from Kalaignar Nagar in Vanur, has been placed under arrest associated with this smuggling operation. Surya is currently in custody, and formal charges are have been filed against him.
