The ex-National Conference party members joined the BJP at its headquarters in Jammu where they were greeted by Ravinder Raina, the party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit chief, among other leaders.
Raina Remarks on BJP’s Achievements
During the event, Raina emphasized the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of people regardless of their regional affinities or religious affiliations. He pointed out the party’s significant contributions and accomplishments in important sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure development and socio-economic growth.
Raina praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stewardship, attributing national unity and progress to his diligent service. He held Modi’s dedicated efforts responsible for the esteemed position India now holds on the global stage.
New Entrants Lauded for their Decision to Join the BJP
Senior BJP politician Devinder Singh Rana spoke warmly of the party’s inclusive approach, assuring that everyone joining the party would be received with love and camaraderie.
Sanjeev Khajuria, former head of the National Conference’s Kathua district unit who also joined the BJP, praised the significant local-level impact of the Modi government’s welfare programs.
Focus on Strengthning BJP’s Ground-Level Strength
In a separate event, Kavinder Gupta, a senior BJP leader and the former deputy chief minister, motivated party workers to fortify BJP’s presence at the booth level in view of the forthcoming elections.
Gupta underscored the BJP’s dedication to serving the people and solving issues plaguing Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed on the need to debunk the opposition parties’ narratives by reaching out to voters, especially women and youths.
