With a robust portfolio of over 27 years of experience with Standard Chartered, Gurjar’s appointment certainly attests to his proven ability and leadership skills. He has successfully managed various high-ranking roles within the organization, which he will leverage in his new position. Notably, Gurjar served as the Managing Director and Head of Banks and Broker Dealers (BBD) in the ASEAN region, and also fulfilled the position of the Head of Financial Institutions in Singapore.
Wide Scope of Responsibilities
In his newly appointed role, Gurjar will be steering the bank’s interactions with local corporates, primarily focusing on middle markets across several countries in South Asia. Specifically, Gurjar’s jurisdiction will extend to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, further solidifying Standard Chartered’s presence and influence in these markets.
