Reinvention at 735 Firebird Squadron: Offering a New Cadet Experience
Recently, the 735 Firebird Squadron, one of the oldest squadrons of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, announced that they are on the lookout for new members. According to our sources, this distinguished squadron, nestled in Dundas and established in 1963, is offering an assortment of activities that are not only engaging but highly beneficial for cadets.
An Array of Activities for The Cadets
The activities, planned and executed throughout the school year, have a balanced mix of everything – from the thrill of gliding to the competitive spirit of sports. Cadets also work on improving their articulation skills and critical thinking through debating and effective speaking tasks. They learn about the importance of charity and giving back to society by participating in the Legion’s poppy campaign. The program also involves field training exercises that are structured to boost their physical and mental endurance.
A Hub for Personal and Physical Growth
This program is carefully designed for the youth who are 12 years old or older. The main goal is to provide a platform where cadets can experience personal and physical growth. This program is completely free of charge, meaning no financial barriers to entry. Uniforms are loaned to cadets at zero cost, and the only expected contribution is time and dedication towards fundraising activities.
Call for Adult Participation

How to Enroll into the Program
- For those individuals or parents who are interested, a weekly training session is hosted every Monday.
- The sessions occur from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre.
