The Iraqi government announced on Tuesday that it has decided to recall its ambassador from Tehran to hold consultations. This action comes after the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, who are considered allies of Iraq, conducted missile strikes that resulted in casualties in the autonomous Kurdish region of Iraq.

The Iraqi ambassador, Nassir Abdel Mohsen, has been summoned back to Baghdad in order to discuss the recent Iranian attacks on the regional capital of Arbil, where both fatal and non-fatal injuries were reported. The decision to recall the ambassador was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
